- Atul Parchure was a well-known Indian actor who had been working in the entertainment industry since the early 1980s. He became known for his comedic performances in both Hindi and Marathi cinema.
- Atul began his acting career in theatre while he was still studying in college. He was a part of many popular plays, including ‘Wah Guru,’ ‘Priyatama,’ ‘Tarun Turk Mhatare Arka,’ ‘Aamhi Ani Aamche Baap,’ and ‘Kaapus Kondyachi Goshta,’ among others.

- Atul earned a name for his comedic talent and was featured in numerous comedy TV series, such as ‘RK Laxman Ki Duniya’ (2011-2013), ‘Bh se Bhade’ (2013), ‘Yum Hai Hum’ (2014-2016), ‘Jago Mohan Pyare’ (2017-2018), and ‘Bhago Mohan Pyare’ (2019-2020).

- In December 2022, he was diagnosed with liver cancer. Unfortunately, his condition worsened due to a misdiagnosis during his first treatment. In an interview, he shared his experience of battling cancer and emphasized the importance of medical insurance. In the interview, he said,
“I don’t want sympathy. I am recovering and looking forward to working soon. I got numerous calls and was overwhelmed to see so much love. The goal of talking about my cancer was to make people aware about the importance of health insurance. There are so many who feel it is not needed but when you need it, often, it is too late. I was able to pay my hospital bills through insurance and my savings.” [3]Hindustan Times
- He passed away at the age of 57 following a prolonged battle with liver cancer in Mumbai on 14 October 2024.
