Some Lesser Known Facts About Aslam Inamdar
Aslam Inamdar grew up in a lower-middle-class family.
After his father died in 2011, his brother worked as a gardener to pay for Aslam’s studies.
Aslam Inamdar washed glasses at a tea stall, and his mother worked as a maid.
He, along with his family, used to live in a mud house.
When Aslam’s elder brother, Wasim, got a job in the police department, he encouraged Aslam to play kabaddi.

Aslam Inamdar started playing kabaddi with his brother’s friends. As he improved, he was selected for the village kabaddi team.
He played well in local tournaments and started participating in state-level Kabaddi championships in 2017.

Once, Aslam Inamdar received a phone call from Arun Mhatre from Thane. Arun Mhatre suggested Aslam join the Air India team trials.
He then attended ten days of training organised by Air India, but Aslam did not get selected for the team.
After that, he began attending practice sessions regularly and received a chance to play for Air India.
Aslam Inamdar played alongside noted Indian kabaddi players such as Ajay Thakur, Deepak Niwas Hooda, and Rahul Chaudhari in the Air India Kabaddi team.
After playing his first sub-junior nationals for Maharashtra, the state captain suggested he join a well-known club named Jai Bajrang in Vasind, district Thane, that helped him get opportunities to play for Union Bank.
In 2021, Aslam Inamdar participated in the All India Pro Kabaddi Tournaments organised in Gotegaon, Madhya Pradesh, and won a trophy.

He played for the Yuva Paltan team for years before joining the Pro Kabaddi League’s Puneri Paltan team in 2021.

Aslam Inamdar was selected by Puneri Paltan as a raider for the 2022 Pro Kabaddi League season.
In 2023, he competed for India at the 2022 Asian Games organised in Hangzhou, China, where the team won a gold medal by defeating Iran by 33-29 points in the finals.

Aslam Inamdar also plays Kabaddi for Insurekot Sports Private Limited.
He is a fitness enthusiast and goes to the gym regularly. He often shares pictures of his gym sessions on social media.
