Some Lesser Known Facts About Anupama Deshpande

  • She was born and brought up in a middle-class singer family in Saibaba Village of Bombay State. As her father was a singer, she also started developing an interest in singing. She even used to practice singing along with her father.
  • At the age of 10, she first performed on stage in the Hazara Singh Orchestra held in Bombay’s Shanmukhananda. After a couple of years, she performed on stage in Vinod Gidh’s Zankar Orchestra. After this, she started doing various bhajan programs.
  • She considers her father as her first guru in the field of singing.
  • Anupama Deshpande shares a good bond with the family of the Indian musician duo Laxmikant–Pyarelal. With their reference, she got the opportunity to perform in various singing events,

This song was originally supposed to be sung by Asha Bhosle but due to her busy schedule, Asha Bhosle could not come, so Anu Malik recorded this song in Anupama Deshpande’s voice.
