• Anup Upadhyay is an Indian actor who is known for playing comic roles in various television shows and films. He received recognition for playing the role of David Mishra “Chachaji” in the Hindi comedy serial Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai! (2015).

• After completing his graduation, he shifted to Delhi and started acting in plays alongside playwriter Habib Tanvir in Delhi. He was associated with Naya Theatre Group for 10 years.

• He has worked in theatre for twenty years. Two of his favourite plays are Dekh Rahe Hain Nayan and Agrabazar.

• Anup is the only actor in his family. He is popularly known for his powerful comedy and funny expressions.

• In 2005, he appeared in the film Sehar as Tiwari’s interviewer.
