• Anjali Merchant, daughter of Indian industrialist Viren Merchant, is the co-founder of ‘Dryfix.’ She is a director at Encore Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., a large privately owned pharmaceutical group.

• She belongs to the Kutchi Bhatia family in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

• Her younger sister, Radhika Merchant, is engaged to Anant Ambani, the younger son of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani.

  

• While studying at the University of Virginia, Anjali worked on various projects for which she travelled to about 12 countries including Japan, China, Canada, and Spain.

• She has worked as an intern at many organisations in Mumbai including Publicis (May 2006 – July 2006), Merck (June 2009 – August 2009), and K. K. Asher and Co. (June 2010 – August 2010).

• In January 2010, she co-founded ‘Turn The Campus,’ a free online marketplace allowing college-specific students and staff members to buy, sell and demand all kinds of items and services with their college community. She worked as the Chief Operating Officer and continued till May 2012.

• Anjali, in July 2012, joined Encore Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., a pharmaceutical group, as a Manager (Marketing and Client Outreach Executive) in Mumbai.

• In 2014, she worked as a General Manager (Business Development) at Encore Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.

• In June 2017, Anjali joined ‘Bayer,’ a German multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company, in Germany as a Marketing Excellence Intern.

• In 2018, Anjali co-founded Dryfix, a chain of hair styling and hair treatment clubs focused on providing quick specialised services to clients, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. According to Anjali, she co-founded the company along with her roommate while she was pursuing MBA. In an interview, Anjali revealed that she started executing her startup idea by visiting gyms and providing free hairstyling to people there and observing whether the market requires their idea or not.

• Anjali promotes her brand ‘Dryfix’ on social media. She often posts her hairstyling videos on the brand’s social media handle.
