Some Lesser Known Facts About Anila Kharbanda

• Anila Kharbanda is an Indian TV serial actress. Apart from acting, she also has experience in the industry as a stylist and an assistant director. Anila has acted in several well-known serials such as Aladdin – Nam Toh Suna Hoga, Ek Anokhi Rakshak Naagkanya, Vighnaharta Ganesha and a lot more. She also made her name known in the industry by debuting as a main lead in the serial, Mera Desh Bulaye Re, which was aired on DD Kissan.

• In 2012, after completing her graduation from Mumbai, Anila did an internship with a well-renowned radio broadcasting channel known as BIG 92.7 FM.

• After completing her internship, Anila, in 2013, was offered a job at a broadcasting and media production company called Endemol Portugal.

• Anila in her early days, was also a theatre artist. She had worked with several renowned artists such as Shabana Azmi and M. S. Sathyu, who is the director of the famous 1974 film, Garam Hawa.

• Dresses and styling had always captured the attention of Anila, so initially, she worked as a stylist in the film industry. She had even worked as a stylist with the famous filmmaker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, for his film, Mann Bairagi.

• Anila has also gained experience in the field of Direction, as an Assistant Director. In 2013, she worked with Raisina Post, and before that, she was working with Sunshine Pictures.

• In 2019, Anila was offered her first mythological TV serial, Vighnaharta Ganesha, in which she played the role of Sundari.

  

• In 2020, Anila played the role of Ruthi Pari in the fantasy serial, Aladdin – Nam Toh Suna Hoga.

  

• In early 2021, she was offered a role in Sondhi Sondhi Khushboo Pyaar Ki, and in late 2021, Anila was offered two different roles, first in a crime-drama TV serial, Crime Alert, and another one in the serial, Na Jaana Pardes.

  

• Anila was also offered a role in the serial, Ek Anokhi Rakshak Naagkanya, where she portrayed the character of Sukanya.

  

• In 2021, Anila made a breakthrough in her career, when she was offered a lead role in the TV serial named Mera Desh Bulaye Re. The show was telecasted on D. D. Kissan. In an interview, Anila said,
  

  I will be playing the role of Mansi/Maisy, an NRI character, whose father owns a fertiliser company in the United States of America. She hasn’t seen her mother and has been raised by an American lady. She comes to India with her boyfriend after 15 years to enjoy the new experience, where she discovers the actual situations of the farmers in the country. • Anila was also a part of a rap video, Teri Yaad, in which she was featured in 2022.

  

• Anila’s paternal aunt, Dr Niru Kumar, is a researcher and has been awarded the prestigious Padma Shri, for her research and analytical contribution in the field of Diversity, Inclusion and Human Diversity.

  

• During her school days, Anila was a regular participant in extra co-curricular activities. While giving an interview, she stated,
  

  The field of acting is not new to me, as in my school days I was always seen participating in different types of extra co-curricular activities.”

• Anila is the only actor in her family. Most of her family members are medical professionals.

• Anila is a big fan of Big Boss and in the future, she wants to be a part of the reality T. V. show as a contestant.

• From the beginning, Anila was very confident that she would be the one, who would win the role of Mansi in the serial, Mera Desh Bulaye Re. In an interview, she said,
  

  I was in the talking terms with Amit for almost an year for the same show, but I had no clue as to what character would I be casted for. I used to keep flooding his phone with my updated auditions. Towards the end of last month, I finally received a call from the director of the show, and I was told that I have been selected for the role of Mansi, and then I knew it was a main lead character. • Anila does not have any idol in the film industry, whom she follows or looks up to. While giving an interview, Anila said that,
  

  I as such, in particular, do not have any actor or actress as an idol. But I do respect the legendary film actors such as Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar a lot.”

• Anila owns a clothing brand, called Aanikhar.

• Anila also smokes and drinks. On several occasions, she has been spotted smoking and drinking.
