Some Lesser Known Facts About Angkrish Raghuvanshi

• He started playing cricket when he was a child with his friends in Delhi. He later trained at Nishchay Cricket Academy in Gurugram.

  

• When his younger brother, Krishang, was a child, he was diagnosed with Blood Cancer. Angkrish accompanied his brother and parents and spent many days in hospital as treatment went on for five years. The hardships at that time made him mentally tough.

• Later, his uncle Sahil Kukreja, former Mumbai cricketer, suggested him to receive cricket training under Abhishek Nayar after which he moved to Mumbai at the age of eleven. Nayar also helped Raghuvanshi to get a flat in his building.

  

• He played in the 2018 Harris Shield Tournament for Swami Vivekanand International School, Borivali. He also helped Mumbai Under-16 to win the 2019 Vijay Merchant Trophy.

  

• He represented Mumbai Under-19 in the 2021 Vinoo Mankad Trophy and scored 214 runs in 4 matches.

  

• In the 2021 Men’s Under-19 Challenger Trophy, he represented India E and scored 141 runs in 5 matches.

  

• He played for India Under-19 in the 2021 Under-19 Asia Cup.

  

• He was the highest runscorer for India Under-19 in the 2022 Under-19 World Cup held in West Indies where he scored 278 runs in 6 matches at an average of 46.33 and helped India win the tournament.

  

• In the 2022 Cooch Behar Trophy, while playing for Mumbai Under-19, he scored 203 runs off 317 balls against Tamil Nadu and 251 runs in 226 balls against Meghalaya.

• He made his T20 debut on 17 October 2023 for Mumbai against Meghalaya in the 2023 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) and scored 32 runs not out in 31 deliveries.

  

• Angkrish Raghuvanshi made his List A debut on 23 November 2023 for Mumbai against Sikkim in the 2023 Vijay Hazare Trophy and hit 30 runs in 28 balls.

• In the Under-25 Col. C.K. Nayudu Trophy in the 2022-2023 season, he scored 765 runs in 9 matches for Mumbai Under-25.

  

• In the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, he was acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for his base price of Rs 20 lakhs.

• He played his debut IPL match on 29 March 2024 for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2024. He came in as an impact player but did not get the chance to bat.

• In his first batting innings of the tournament against Delhi Capitals (DC) on 3 April 2024, he hit 54 runs in 27 balls at a strike rate of 200.
