• Angelia Marwein has been interested in dance and music since her childhood. She has won multiple dance competitions and is pursuing music training in percussion instruments.

• According to her, she spent her childhood mostly under her grandmother’s care as her mother was the sole earning member, and her father was not keeping well.

• In addition to academics, she was active in several sports, including basketball, football, and track events.

• As a native of Khasi Hills in Meghalaya, she promotes the activities of the agricultural society, Eastern Region Marketing Cooperative Society (EARMACS), which was formed to support and enhance the entrepreneurs and rural farmers of the villages surrounding the area.

• She chose the impact of the Maitshaphrang Movement on the Khasi community as her postgraduate course dissertation topic as she supports gender equality and women’s rights.

• She is also an advocate of social causes such as better prospects for specially-abled groups and nature preservation and its sustainable development.

• In 2023, she appeared in a music video by musician Benjamin Sun titled Duh Mi (in Falan language).

  

• She became popular for her confident ramp walking and was compared with international fashion models like Gigi Hadid and Kylie Jenner. In October 2024, she was among the top seven contestants in the Femina Miss India beauty pageant.
