• Alina Padikkal was born into a middle-class family in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

  

• When Alina was 10 years old, she starting hosting TV shows.

• She made her debut as an anchor by hosting the children’s show “Butterflies” on Asianet.

• Alina won Kerala State Television Award (2005) for the best anchor for hosting that program.

• Subsequently, she hosted many shows for different TV channel’s like “Kiran TV,” “Surya TV,” and “Asianet Plus.”

• In 2012, she took a break from television in order to concentrate on her studies.

• Alina did her graduation in Psychology and English Literature.

• After completing her graduation, she did an internship in Journalism with The Hindu.

• Thereafter, she pursued an MBA from Bangalore’s Oxford College.
