• Akshay Jaywant Bodake is an Indian Kabaddi player who came into the limelight in 2022 when he participated in the 9th season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) as a defender in the Patna Pirates team.

• After completing his formal education, he moved to Gandhinagar in Gujarat from Maharashtra to take professional training in Kabaddi at the Sports Authority of India (SAI).

  

• Thereafter, Akshay Jaywant Bodake began participating in many national-level Kabaddi championships, representing Maharashtra state. He often plays for Pune University.

  

• In April 2023, he competed in the Men’s Open Group Kabaddi competition organized by Shri Balvikas Sports Mandal, and his team Chetak Sports Club Balewadi earned the second position.

  

• Akshay Jaywant Bodake then participated in the Yuva Kabaddi Series, representing the Maharashtra team, in 2023.

  

• During the tenth season of the Pro Kabaddi League, he was picked by the Bengal Warriors team for Rs. 13 Lakhs. However, in November 2023, he underwent surgery on his left knee and was ruled out of the Pro Kabaddi League season 10.
