• Akhil Vishwanath was born in Kodoli, Maharashtra, and grew up in Thrissur, Kerala.

• Akhil was raised in middle class household.

• Since his childhood, he started earning to help his parents financially.

• In 2009, he made his acting debut with a short telefilm titled Mangandi. His brother Arun Vishwanath also acted in that film.

• Akhil and his brother won the State Government Award for Best Child Artist for their performance ‘Mangandi.’

• In 2019, Akhil’s performance in the Chola film gained him recognition.

• After that, Akhil started appearing in small roles in various Malayalam films.

• Unfortunately, he didn’t get any big project, so he started working at a mobile shop as a mobile repair technician.

• In September 2025, Akhil’s father, who is autoricksaw driver, met with an accident and has been bedridden since then, whereas his mother is working as a staff member at the Vyapara Bhavan, run by the Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi (KVVES).

• In the morning of 11 December 2025, when Akhil’s mother was leaving for her work, she found Akhil hanging from the ceiling of his room.

• He was taken to the local government hospital, where he was declared dead.

• Several stars from the Malayalam industry have been mourning the death of Akhil Vishwanath. Chola director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan wrote on Facebook,

The news that Akhil committed suicide is heartbreaking. He came to cinema from the pit of poverty. A single movie called Chola was enough for him to step in Malayalam cinema as an actor. It just didn’t happen. After that movie was confined, the future hopes of many people including that young man who proved their talent through that movie were in darkness. I can’t believe Akhil committed suicide. Knows that he was preparing to act in a movie soon. that was to start recently. Feeling sad Akhil. I don’t know what was the cause of this untimely death. But those who have darkened the futures of men, including you, have a part in your blood. May your soul rest in peace. May your smile full of love touch me again.”

• The real reason for Akhil’s death has not been revealed yet. The investigation is on to find out the circumstances surrounding Akhil’s death.

• According to some reports, Akhil was preparing for a new OTT project at the time of his untimely demise.
