  • He once worked as a research assistant at the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
  • In December 2017, Ajeet met with a severe accident when he fell from a moving train near Satna, Madhya Pradesh, while trying to save a friend. He suffered multiple fractures but lost his left hand and part of his arm.

  • After the accident, Ajeet was depressed, but his mentor and coach V. K. Dabas supported him. Dabas helped him overcome the trauma and guided him to become a para-athlete.
  • While still recovering from the accident, Ajeet competed in the 2018 Para Athletic Senior National held in Panchkula, Haryana, where he won a bronze.

  • Ajeet made his international debut at the 2019 World Para Athletics Grand Prix held in Beijing, China. He won gold in the men’s F46 category with a throw of 56.47 meters.

  • He then competed in the 2020 Summer Paralympics, where he secured fourth place with a throw of 62.11 meters.
