• Adriana Thyssen (1974-2023) was a Brazilian fitness influencer and entrepreneur who passed away in September 2023. She became popular for her weight loss journey of 40 kilograms in one year during her late 30s.

• She faced weight problems from childhood but later underwent a significant transformation.

• She started taking various types of medicines including amphetamines to lose weight when she was 18; however, she went into depression as her weight kept on increasing. She later became a drug addict and alcoholic as her weight increased to more than 100 kgs.

  

• She started her transformation journey in 2013, in her late 30s. She started exercising and paid more attention to her diet and daily routine. She once mentioned in a post on her blog Drika Da Blog that she made her dietary schedule on her own and never consulted any dietitian.

  

• Adriana Thyssen once wrote on her Facebook page that although she did not have clothes of her choice, she dedicated herself to her schedule. She also mentioned that she displayed her transformation on social media to motivate other people who were struggling with similar issues.

  

• In 8 months in 2015, she lost around 35 kgs of weight, and later in 7 months, she shed 10 kgs.

  

• She had around 600 thousand followers on Instagram and 1.7 million followers on Facebook when she died in September 2023.

• She launched her own clothing line named Drika’s Store in the early 2020s, which has plus size activewear clothes.

  

• Adriana’s family confirmed that Adriana passed away on 17 September 2023 at her home in Uberlândia, Brazil; however, they did not reveal the reason for her death. She was buried on 18 September 2023 in Araguari. ^[1]G1
