• Aditya Pancholi grew up in Mumbai.

• While he was studying in school, he participated in various sports like cricket and football.

• In his teens, one day, while he was travelling in a local train, a film director Nari Hira spotted him. Nari liked his looks and signed him for six telefilms including ‘Kalank Ka Tika’ (1986), ‘Siyahi’ (1986), ‘Shingora’ (1986), and ‘Abhishek’ (1987).

  

• In 1986, while he was shooting for ‘Kalank Ka Tika,’ he met the Indian actress Zarina Wahab (who was six years older than him). Initially, they became friends and soon, fell in love with each other. His mother was not happy with their relationship as it was an inter-religion marriage. Within 15 days of their relationship, the couple got married.

• Aditya once shared that he did not get the lead role in the 1986 Hindi film ‘Allah Rakha,’ as his face looked very young for the character. Later, Jackie Shroff played the role.

• As a lead actor, Aditya has acted in various Hindi films like ‘Dayavan’ (1988), ‘Mohabat Ka Paigham’ (1989), ‘Chor Aur Chaand’ (1993), and ‘Surakshaa’ (1995).

  

• Among all his films, his 1991 Hindi film ‘Saathi’ is considered his best film.

  

• Initially, the Indian actor-producer Dev Anand wanted to cast cricketer Imran Khan for Aaditya Pancholi’s role in the 1990 Hindi film ‘Awwal Number.’

  

• In 1990, he lent his voice to the song “Dhak Dhak Dil Dhadke” from the Hindi film Maha-Sangram.

• In the same year, Aditya, along with the Indian actress Mandakini and her secretary Ajit Dewan, started a film production company A.M.A Productions. The name of the production house was derived from the initials of their names. Later, after a tiff among the business partners, Mandakini left the production house.

• In the 1990 Hindi film Aashiqui, he dubbed for the role of Rahul Roy in the film.

• He worked as a producer in the 1993 Hindi film ‘Chor Aur Chand.’

• He has also appeared as a supporting actor in many Hindi films such as ‘Yes Boss’ (1997), ‘Aankhen’ (2002), ‘Musafir’ (2004), ‘Hero’ (2015), and ‘Bajirao Mastani’ (2015).

• Aditya has rejected the offer to play negative roles in the Hindi films ‘Mela’ (2000) and ‘Ghajini’ (2008).

• In 2013 Jiah Khan Murder Case, his son Sooraj Pancholi was arrested for provoking her to commit suicide. Aditya was also interrogated several times in the case.

• In 2015, the Supreme Court of India directed Aditya and his family to vacate the house they had rented since 1960 for Rs 150 per month. A case was filed by the actual owners of the house to vacate their property.

• He is often spotted smoking cigarettes.

• Aditya, along with his brother Anand Pancholy, owns a private firm named Arunarajan Enterprises Private Limited, Mumbai.
