  • Aarya Babbar is an Indian actor. He mainly works in Punjabi and Hindi films.
  • After his birth, he was named Sajjad Babbar which was taken from his maternal grandfather’s name Sajjad Zaheer. However, his debut film director Khalid Mohammed asked his parents to change his name as Khalid believed that with his name audience would get confused whether Aarya was a Hindu, Muslim, or Sikh.   • He once shared that since his teenage, he wanted to become an actor. He said,

    As I grew up, I realised that I truly wanted to be an actor and started working hard towards my goal. I did theatre with my mother’s group Ekjut. I had to do it all — right from being a backstage boy to the long hours of workouts to reduce my weight before I bagged my first film.”
