  • It was in Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2004 that he got to play for India once again. Tendulkar’s ousting was the reason Chopra was named in the squad against Australia. A heavy loss in the match and the return of Tendulkar resulted in Chopra being thrown out of the team. He was again called to play Australia in the third Test of the series. The second failure was the final departure of Chopra from the Indian cricket team.

  • After playing for Delhi throughout his career, he moved to the Rajasthan team as a guest player and helped them win their first Ranji Trophy in the 2010-11 season and the other one in the 2011-12 season. He holds a record of three Ranji Trophies under his belt, one for Delhi and two for Rajasthan, and is also one of the few Indian players to score 10,000 first-class runs.

  • In November 2023, Aakash reported a case of fraud against a businessman named Dhruv Parikh. Aakash alleged that he had given Dhruv a sum of Rs. 57.8 lakh for investment in his sports shoe business, with a formal agreement that Dhruv would return the money within 30 days with a 20% profit. Dhruv, however, only returned Rs. 24.5 lakh, defrauding Aakash of Rs. 33 lakh. In response to this, Aakash filed a complaint against Dhruv and his father, Kamlesh Parikh, at the Hariparwat police station in Agra. The police registered an FIR under IPC section 406, which deals with criminal breach of trust. [1]Business Today
