  • Rajashekhar who is the son of a noted playwright named Chandrashekhara Kambara was the one who encouraged Rangayana Raghu to act in plays and even suggested him to join a theatre group in Mysore.
  • In 1988, Rangayana Raghu began his career in theatre and started working as a stage actor with B. V. Karanth’s theatre group named ‘Rangayana.’ He worked in the group till 1999.
  • In 1995, he was cast in the Kannada film titled ‘Suggi’ which was supposed to be Rangayana Raghu’s debut film but the film was never released.
  • In 2001, Rangayana performed his last theatre play.
  • In the same year, he was cast in the Kannada comedy film titled ‘Kothigalu Saar Kothigalu’ in which he played the character of a police officer.
