• Ankur Jain grew up in Redmond, Washington, United States.

  

• He interned at companies like AEA Investors LP (June 2007-August 2007) and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (July 2008-August 2008).

• He founded Kairos Society, a private company focused on developing products in the housing and healthcare sectors, in August 2008. Ankur served as the chairman of the company till August 2012.

• In June 2010, he joined Singularity University as one of the eighty selected students for a Graduate Summer Program at NASA’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, California; he completed the course in August 2010.

• Ankur co-founded a company named Humin in San Francisco, California, in August 2012. He served as the chief executive officer of the company till April 2016; the company was acquired by Tinder in 2016.

  

• He was appointed as the vice president of the product department at Tinder, a networking application, in March 2016. Ankur continued to serve in this position until May 2017.

• In 2017, Ankur co-founded Rhino, a New York-based company under Kairos, which worked on replacing security deposits with affordable insurance policies to help renters save money.

• Ankur was appointed as the chief executive officer of Kairos in May 2017.

• In August 2018, he founded Bilt Technologies in New York, US, as part of Kairos. The company lets renters earn points by paying rent for apartments without fees and also offers consulting services.

• Ankur met Erika Hammond, a former wrestler and celebrity fitness trainer, at Rumble Boxing where Ankur was a client and she was his trainer. They started dating after getting to know each other; Ankur asked Erika out during one of their gym sessions.

• Ankur got married to Erika in Egypt on 26 April 2024. They opted for a non-traditional wedding and skipped the classic wedding cakes. Instead, they enjoyed affogatos and set up three dessert stations from their favourite New York confectioners.
