  • His family settled in Satara when he was 2 years old. He spent his childhood studying and growing up there.
  • Nimai thought of becoming an actor after his uncle Sunil Dutt asked him if he was interested. When he decided to pursue acting, Dutt assisted him with his training in acting.
  • He was initially selected for the role of ‘Mohan Agarwal’ in the 1991 film ‘Yeh Aag Kab Bujhegi,’ directed by Sunil Dutt. Dutt, however, later advised him to improve his skills further. As the film’s production could not be delayed, the role ultimately went to actor Shakti Kapoor.
  • Nimai appeared as ‘Vishal’ in the 1993 film ‘Phool Aur Angaar.’
