  • In an interview, Yadav mentioned that once, when he was playing cricket, his neighbours and fellow athlete, Sandeep Yadav, noticed his strong shoulders and height and suggested he try javelin throw.
  • At the age of 19, he started practicing javelin throw under the guidance of  Sandeep Yadav.
