• Rajat Barmecha grew up in Delhi as his parents moved there from Rajasthan soon after his birth.

• He loved acting ever since he was a child.

  

• At 18, he moved to Mumbai from Delhi to become a jewellery designer. He, however, changed his mind and soon gave up the plan.

• He then started his acting career by featuring in several advertisements for brands like Frooti, Sonata, and Max Life Insurance.

• Rajat often smokes. He used to be a non-smoker, but after playing a smoker’s role in the film ‘Udaan’ (2010), he developed a habit of smoking.

  

• He consumes alcohol occasionally.

  

• Rajat has appeared in short films like ‘Gulmohar’ (2011) and ‘The Finish Line’ (2011).

  

• He has also worked in some web series such as Viu’s ‘Love Lust and Confusion’ (2018) and MX Player’s ‘Hey Prabhu!’ (2019).

• In June 2021, he started working on his physique to build muscles as his lean body made him look too young for roles like of a protagonist, which was affecting his chances of getting projects.

• In 2021, he co-launched a café named ‘The Barmecha House’ in Versova, Mumbai, with his brother Vicky Barmecha to fulfil their mother’s wish to own one. This idea was inspired by their sister and her husband, who own a café in Himachal Pradesh.

  

• Rajat is an avid traveller, and he often shares his travelling experiences on social media. He enjoys solo travelling, which he was inspired to do after watching the film ‘Into the Wild’ (2007).

  

• Rajat loves writing and often frequently shares his work such as poems on an Instagram handle named ‘Write Barmecha Write.’

  

• Rajat is a passionate animal lover and frequently shares pictures with them on social media. He wishes to buy a few horses and keep them on his farm.
