•  Ashika Asokan is an Indian actress and model.  She works in the Tamil and Malayalam film industry.

• She disclosed in an interview that becoming an actress was never her dream. In the interview, she added,
  

  All these were not in my wildest dreams until three years ago. I was the worst-dressed girl and my friends always made fun of me at school. It was in my second year of college that everything started. I don’t know how it happened.”

• During her college days, she started making dance and dubbing videos on TikTok and Instagram, through which she become a popular face and gained a fan base of four lakhs and eighty thousand followers (as of August 2023) on her Instagram.

Right after wrapping up the shoot of the film Missing Girl, she got an offer to work in a Tamil film where the casting coordinator asked her to compromise and was even ready to give a car worth twenty-five lakhs within a month if she agreed. Narrating the incident, in an interview, she said
  

  I didn’t feel anger but pity. I could have slapped him and walked out. But I came to the film industry to prove myself. So, I asked him to leave.”

  She also added that on the last day of the shoot, the coordinator came to her room and misbehaved with her. In the interview, she further added,

  When he grabbed me by the arm, I hit him. As he created a scene, people present on the set too beat him. I haven’t seen him since.” ^[2]South First
