Some Lesser Known Facts About Chikkanna

• After completing his formal education, Chikkanna began participating in comedy shows through Drishya Kalavide, a visual artist based in Mysore.

• He has performed in many stage shows during festivals such as Karnataka Rajyotsava.

• Chikkanna then got a chance to perform on a comedy show on Udaya TV. Chikkanna played many villain roles during his time on television.

• South Indian actor Yash noticed him during a skit for the 75-year Amrutha Mahotsava celebrations in Mysore. Yash cast him in his 2011 film Kirataka.

  

• When he started working in the film industry, filmmakers saw his talent for comedy and audiences also liked his comedy roles.

• Chikkanna found comedy rewarding, but he also enjoyed playing negative roles. He saw his ability to make people laugh as a gift.

  

• Later, he appeared in the television serial Comedy Khiladigalu on Zee Kannada.

• He acted with Yash in the film Raja Huli in 2013 and with Sharan in the film Adyaksha in 2014.

  

• In the 2015 Kannada film Sharp Shooter, he acted with the actor Diganth and wrote the lyrics for the song ‘Kuntebille.’

• He then went on to appear in many Kannada films such as Maduveya Mamatheya Kareyole (2016), Tiger (2017), Mr. Bachelor (2023), and Upadhyaksha (2024).

  

• In 2018, he was nominated for the 8th South Indian International Movie Awards for Best Comedian award for the film Raambo 2. He lent his voice to a rap song in this film.

• In 2019, Chikkanna was nominated for the 9th South Indian International Movie Awards for Best Comedian award for the film Natasaarvabhowma.

• In 2020, he started his commercial goat and sheep farming business in Mysore, Karnataka.

  

• Chikkanna likes travelling to distant places, cycling, and playing basketball in his free time.
