• In childhood, he wanted to be a cricketer, but he switched to football and focussed on it.

• Prior to being a model, he was a football player. He played for Pailan Arrows. On 9 January 2013, he scored his first goal against Churchill Brothers F.C. at Duler Stadium.

• Thereafter, he was signed by the Dempo Sports Club. He played in the U19 squad of the Dempo and later, he was selected to India U19.

  

• His friend suggested him to to be a model and recommended his name to Wendell Rodricks, a fashion designer.

• Wendell saw some pictures of him and called him up. Wendell told Prathamesh to walk the ramp for him.

• In 2015, he took part in MTV Splitsvilla Season 8, which was hosted by Sunny Leone and  Rannvijay Singh.

• In 2017, Prathamesh participated at the 9th edition of Mister India and won the title of Peter England Mr. India Supranational 2018.

• Thereafter, he represented India at Mister Supranational 2018 pageant in Krynica-Zdrój, Poland where he was declared the winner. He also won the best body award at the competition. Thus, he became the first Asian to win the title of Mister Supranational.
