• Aalia Furniturewalla was born into a family of actors. Her maternal grandfather, Kabir Bedi, has acted in many Bollywood and Hollywood movies. Her mother, Pooja Bedi, and her maternal uncle, Adam Bedi, also work in the entertainment industry. Moreover, her maternal grandmother, Protima Bedi, was a model and dancer.
  
• Aalia learned the art of acting from the New York Film Academy.

• In 2013, she was awarded the Balakratna National Art Award (gold medal) for excellence in art.

• In 2016, Aalia, along with her mother Pooja Bedi, appeared on the cover page of “Femina” magazine.
