  • Dhiraj Prasad Sahu is an Indian politician who is a member of the Indian National Congress. He has served three tenures as a Rajya Sabha MP. In 2023, he became the target of one of the largest IT raids in India, involving about Rs. 351 crores of unaccounted money.
  • In 1978, he was imprisoned during the Jail Bharo Andolan, a method of protest where the protesters voluntarily let themselves get arrested to fill the jails.
  • He has served as a member of various parliamentary committees such as the Standing Committee of Coal, Mines, and Steel, and the Consultative Committee of Power and New & Renewable Energy.
  • Dhiraj Prasad Sahu named his Ranchi home Sushila Niketan after his late mother Sushila Devi, which the Income Tax department raided in 2023.
