• Prachi Tehlan is an Indian actress, sportswoman, and an entrepreneur.

• She was born in a well-to-do family in Delhi.

  

• Prachi developed a huge interest in sports at a very young age.

• She started playing Basketball when she was just 13 years old. She played the sport for around 10 years.

• In 2002, Prachi started her Basketball career by playing two sub junior nationals (under-14) in Pondicherry and Karnataka.

• While she was in college, Tehlan started playing Netball. She even bagged the opportunity to play in the Indian Netball team and captained it.

  

• She was the captain of the Indian Netball Team in the Commonwealth Games 2010.

• Tehlan was the brand ambassador of Netball Development Trust of the United Kingdom and NAZ Foundation of Delhi.

• She supported underprivileged children and young girls to make a career in sports.

• Prachi made her acting debut in 2016 with the TV serial, “Diya Aur Baati Hum.” She played the role of ‘Arzoo Rathi’ in the serial.

• She, then, played the lead in the TV serial, “Ikyawann.”

  

• Tehlan made her Punjabi film debut in 2017 with the film, “Arjan.”

  

• She has also starred in the Punjabi film, “Bailaras.”

• Her Malayalam film debut came in the year 2019 with the film, “Mamangam.”

• Tehlan never thought of becoming an actress until Shweta Bishnoi (creative director of ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’) approached her to play the role of ‘Arzoo’ in the TV serial, “Diya Aur Baati Hum.”

• Before becoming an actress, Prachi had worked in Development Bank of Singapore, Deloitte, Philips, 1800 Sports, and Accenture.

• Her maternal grandmother was also a sportswoman.

• Prachi is fond of dogs and owns a pet dog, Bruno.
