During her school days at Waukesha West High School, she won the Wisconsin State girls’ Soccer Player of the Year twice.
That same year, she was selected to the All-Big Ten Freshman Team.
In 2017, Dani Watt was chosen for the All-Big Ten second team.
In 2019, she received the Big Ten Forward of the Year award, after which she was selected to the All-Big Ten first team.
On 12 September 2020, Dani Watt played for the Chicago Red Stars in NWSL.

In 2020, she played in three of Chicago’s four matches during the Fall Series before COVID-19 cancelled it.
In July 2021, Dani Watt signed with Þróttur Reykjavík in the Icelandic Cup, Iceland’s top women’s league. During the match, at the 60th minute, she scored the third goal in a 4-0 semi-final win against the FH women’s football team.
As a student-athlete at university, she won Big Ten Forward of the Year in 2019 and an All-America Second Team honour.
Dani Watt has earned Academic All-Big Ten three times.
