Abhiraj belongs to a Marathi family in Mumbai.

While studying at R. D. National College in Bandra, he started working as an independent filmmaker.

In 2014, he started making videos for brands such as HUL, MTV, Kotak Bank, and Tata Motors.

In 2017, he created the Facebook page known as Following Love (now known as Following Love (Abhi and Niyu)) to create videos on travel, food, and people.

In April 2018, he and Niyati Mavinkurve started the YouTube channel Abhi and Niyu.
