• Anuj Rawat is a professional Indian cricketer who was born into a middle-class farmer family in a small village of Uttarakhand.

• His early childhood was spent in his native village. He used to go for cricket practice to a small cricket academy a few kms away from his home.

• Seeing his cricketing talent, Anuj’s coach advised his father to shift him to Delhi, where he can get professional cricket training.

• His father had dreamt of becoming a cricketer when he was in his childhood. He wanted to see his son fulfil the dreams which he had once seen, so he sent Anuj to Delhi to pursue a professional cricket career.

• In spite of their weak economic condition, Anuj’s family continued to fund for his cricket training.

• His family’s struggle paid off when he debuted in first-class cricket in a match against Assam on 6 October 2017. ^[4]ESPN Since then, Anuj started managing his expenses on his own.

• He was a part of the India U19 team that won the Asia Cup 2018.

• On 21 February 2019, he made his Twenty20 debut for Delhi in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. ^[5]ESPN

• On 4 October 2019, he played his first List-A cricket match for Delhi in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019-20.

• During the player auctions for IPL 2020, Anuj Rawat was bought by the Rajasthan Royals for INR 80 lakh.
