• On 28 July 2020, his name, along with his sister Rhea Chakraborty and father Indrajit Chakraborty, appeared in an F.I.R. filed by Sushant Singh Rajput’s father Krishna Kumar Singh in Sushant’s death case at a police station in Bihar.

• On 10 August 2020, Mr. Chakraborty was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) of India where he was interrogated for more than nine hours along with Rhea Chakraborty and Indrajit Chakraborty. Later, he was also summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), and on 4 September 2020, the NCB arrested him.
