- Mohammad Samad’s parents were not financially well-off and thus faced many problems while raising Mohammad Samad and his five siblings.
- He made his on-screen debut in 2012 as a child artist by playing the lead role of Gattu in the Bollywood film ‘Gattu.’

- In an interview, Samad narrated the entire selection process for his role in Gattu. He said, “I didn’t know what acting was. I just auditioned for Gattu when the crew came to our school looking for children to act in the film. I was among the 20 children who were selected. Then the list was made shorter. I was one of the four finalists. One fine day, they told me I was selected. I was happy to have come first. I wanted to make my parents proud.”
- He also acted in a famous Punjabi short film ‘Mast Qalandar’ (2015) as Montek.
- He has been featured in several TV commercials including Pepsi.
