• Tanner Novlan was raised by his parents in Paradise Hill which is located in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.

  

• Tanner Novlan grew up on his family’s 3,500-acre wheat and canola farm and when he was at the tender age of 12, he drove a combine harvester which was a machine to harvest grain crops in the field which was worth $350,000.

• During his childhood, Tanner was very athletic and active in sports like hockey, basketball, and water skiing. His father Dough Novlan used to coach him in his hockey practice.

• Tanner shares an extremely close bond with his grandfather Clem and he used to spend the majority of his time with his grandfather.

• He was always inclined towards acting and film-making.

• Tanner Novlan moved to Los Angeles, California when he was 21 years old to follow his dream to become an actor.

• While going on different acting auditions, Novlan modelled in print campaigns for brands like Guess and Tommy Hilfiger- He has appeared in print campaigns for brands like  Guess and Tommy Hilfiger.

• Some of his first commercial jobs were for Gatorade and Nike commercials playing ice hockey.- Tanner has also appeared in TV commercials for brands like Gatorade and Nike.

• In 2010, Tanner met the American actress Kayla Ewell on the set of the Australian band Sick Puppies’s music video titled ‘Maybe.’ Both of them started dating soon after and they got engaged in May 2015 and got married after a few months.

• In the same year, Tanner Novlan was cast in the English horror Sci-fi film titled ‘1313: Giant Killer Bees!’ in which he played the character of Connor.

• In 2010, Tanner Novlan, along with his wife Kayla Ewell, was cast in the music video of the English song titled ‘Maybe’ which was sung by the Australian music band titled ‘Sick Puppies.’

  

• In 2014, Tanner was cast in the American crime drama television series titled ‘Rizzoli & Isles’ which was based on the series of ‘Rizzoli & Isles’ novels written by Tess Gerritsen. Tanner played the character of Wayne Bowman and the series was telecast on the TNT TV channel.

• He has appeared in many English films like ‘Ice: The Movie’ (2018) and ‘My Best Friend’s Christmas’ (2019).

  

• In 2020, during an interview, Tanner Novlan shared how he used to rehearse his lines and dialogues for the American soap opera titled ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ in his car parked in his driveway as it helped him to not get distracted with his kids inside the house and also because it helped him to raise his pitch as much as he wanted in the car without disturbing his family.

• In the same year, he was cast in season 11 of the American television sitcom titled ‘Modern Family’ in which he played the character of Liam.

• In 2020, Tanner Novlan was cast in the American television soap opera titled ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ which was a companion series to the Bells’ other soap opera ‘The Young and the Restless.’ Tanner played the character of John “Finn” Finnegan and the series was telecast on the CBS TV channel.

  

• Tanner Novlan has been part of a few English films and some of them are ‘Flatbush Luck’ (2016) and ‘Fallen Stars’ (2017).

• As of 2024, once or twice a week, he plays hockey with a Los Angeles Hockey group called ‘Bad Boys Skate’ which is an informal group of hockey enthusiasts in Los Angeles.
