- Growing up, he developed an interest in football.
- His interest in football earned him the nickname- David Beckham of Sadiquabad.

- Over the past years, Majid had mobilised volunteers for blood donation drives and worked tirelessly for a local charitable organisation.
- On 9 November 2017, he went missing from his home in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district to join the Lashkar-e-Taiba.
