  • Abhinandan Singh grew up in a middle-class family in Magraura Village, Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh.
  • He developed an interest in cricket at a young age and began playing for local teams near his village.
  • He took his initial training in cricket from Bharat Cricket Academy in Lucknow.
  • Abhinandan moved across states to play cricket for various teams at different levels; one day representing a team at Rajouri in Jammu & Kashmir and another day moving to Punjab to represent another team in a local tournament.
  • While studying at Delhi University, he enrolled himself or the Cricket Training Programme at the Delhi Stadium.
  • Owing to his excellent bowling skills, he got a chance to represent the Delhi Stadium team in various cricket tournaments.
  • After representing various teams in countless smaller leagues, Abhinandan bagged the opportunity to represent DY Patil Red at the DY Patil T20 Cup tournament. Although Abhinandan played only two matches in the tournament, he made sure to leave an impression on the audience.

  • After his stint with KKR, Abhinandan played for Lucknow Falcons in the Uttar Pradesh Premier League. He claimed 15 wickets in 10 matches of the tournament with an average of 17 and an economy of 7.52.
  • His excellent performance in the Uttar Pradesh Premier League caught the attention of many IPL franchises and he was signed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru for Rs 30 Lakhs in the IPL auctions.
