• Rucha Inamdar is an Indian actress. She is known for her portrayal of Avni in the web series Criminal Justice.

• Rucha Inamdar comes from a family of artists, with her mother, elder brother, and maternal grandmother all being professional painters.

• Rucha’s father is a doctor and writer. He recently published his poetry book titled ‘Majha Mala’; due to the restrictions during COVID-19, the book was launched online.

  

• Rucha’s parents are doctors hence she has spent much of his life in the premises of JJ Hospital, Mumbai.

• Rucha gave her first mono-act performance at the age of 3 and acted in a play when she was in kindergarten. She participated in numerous acting competitions at the school, college, and inter-college levels.

• Rucha has been featured in advertisements for several brands including Rummy, Airtel, Domino’s Pizza, Amazon, and Maggi. She has worked alongside superstars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, etc.

• ‘Children Of War’ is based on the real incidents of the Bangladesh genocide and the Liberation War of Bangladesh.

• In 2015, Rucha appeared in the Hindi film ‘Under The Same Sun’ in which she played the role of Yasmeen.

• In 2017, Rucha made her debut in the Marathi film industry with the film ‘Bhikari.’ In the film, she portrayed the lead role of Madhu opposite Swapnil Joshi.

• Apart from this, Rucha has appeared in ‘Wedding Cha Cinema’ (2019), ‘Operation Parindey’ (2020), and ‘Not Today’ (2021).

• ‘Not Today’ (2021) has won several awards including the Best Feature Film Award 2022 at New Jersey International Festival and the Ray of Hope Igniting Flame Commendations Award 2021 at the London Asian Film Festival.

• In 2022, she was signed for the film ‘Minus 31: The Nagpur Files’ in which she played the lead role of a cop named Preksha Sharma. Talking about her role in an interview, she said,
  

  “More than taking inspiration from onscreen cops, I closely observed real-life cops. I used to sit with female police officers in police stations and tag along with them when they went patrolling. I used to have lunch with them and interact with them. Such interactions helped me bring a certain authenticity to my character.”

• Rucha made her web series debut in Hotstar Special’s ‘Criminal Justice’ (2019) in which she appeared as Avni Parashar, a pregnant woman.

• In 2022, she appeared in Disney+Hotstar’s ‘The Great Indian Murder’ in which she portrayed the role of Ritu Rai.

• Rucha is a multi-skilled person. Her hobbies are photography, writing, and drawing. To keep her curiosity alive and kill boredom she keeps learning new things.
