- His father wanted Hemwant to join the Indian army. But he had always dreamt of becoming an actor. However, he also appeared in the National Defence Academy’s entrance exam.
- Hemwant Tiwari worked in call centers to earn money for his acting courses.
- In his struggling days, he only managed to get work in ad films and short films. For earning extra income he also taught yoga for some time.
