In 2002, she started her career in journalism as a reporter for the Hindi-language news channel named ‘Aaj Tak’ which is owned by TV Today Network.

She was also a correspondent in ‘Aaj Tak’ where she was in charge of advertising, marketing, and reporting of news like capital markets, banking, and auto. She also reported business and sports.

In 2004, Harshada Sawant started working as the Anchor & Principal correspondent of an Indian pay television business and financial news channel named ‘CNBC-TV18.’
