• Prachi Choudhary is an Indian athlete. In 2023, she was part of the women’s 4 × 400 m relay Indian team that secured a silver medal at the 2022 Asian Games.

• In 2014, Prachi Choudhary began her journey in athletic competitions. Following her schooling in Saharanpur, she moved to Patiala, Punjab, to pursue professional training in athletics.

• In 2018, she clocked 52.96 seconds at the Guwahati Inter State Championships in Assam.

• In a 2018 interview, she talked about being one of the best middle-distance runners in the country; however, she hadn’t received any job offers. In an interview, a senior Indian railway official in response to her said,

• Starting from 2019, her performances consistently remained above 54 seconds, with a season-best of 54.49 seconds in the same year.

• In 2019, she began to work with the Indian Railways in Patiala. Despite her 8-hour daily job, she prepared for many international competitions, especially the 2022 Asian Games.

• In an interview, she shared that her family faced financial challenges, and there were times when she had to train in torn shoes. Her father supported her by borrowing money to buy her spike shoes and made sure she had the right diet to pursue her athletic dreams. ^[7]Amar Ujala

• By 2022, her best time increased to 55.64 seconds.

• In June 2023, she earned the second position at the 62nd National Inter State Senior Athletics Championships in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha.

• At the 2023 Indian Championships held in Bhubaneshwar, Prachi completed the 400m race in an impressive time of 53.65 seconds. Her performance in this race earned her the third-best time at the event.

• She set a new personal best by clocking 52.40 seconds at the All-India Railway Athletics Championships 2023 in Raebareli. This performance also broke the previous record held by Rosakutty, which was 52.54 seconds since 1998. She won a Gold medal at the championship.

  

• She was part of the Indian women’s 4 × 400m relay team, which included Vithya Ramraj, Subha Venkatesan, and Aishwarya Kailash Mishra, and the team won the silver medal at the 2022 Asian Games.
