• She started working with NDTV as a head editor in Jan 1994.She worked there for around 5 years.

• Later, she worked as the Development Executive at various LA movie studios.

• In January 2003, she became the creative director of NDTV. She scripted and produced many award-winning promos. She also won several Gold Promax Awards including for “World’s Best News Promo”.

• In 2009, she worked as Content and Business Head for 6 years with NDTV media.

• She became the Chief Executive Officer of NDTV in the year 2015.  In 2019, she was made to resign from her position as she was not a citizen of India.

• She led NDTV’s metro station, which was India’s first English language, city-based channel in India in 2007.

• At NDTV, Suparna played a huge role in shaping the digital presence of the company.
