• Bhavana started her acting career in 2002 by playing the role of Parimalam in the Malayalam film Nammal.

• At the age of 5, Bhavana injured her hand while trying to copy the style of actress Amala.

• She along with actress Mamta Mohandas is the brand ambassador for team Kerala Strikers in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL).

• On 10 January 2022, the actress took to social media to share an incident when she was allegedly abducted and sexually assaulted five years before. The alleged attack took place in 2017 when she was returning home after a shooting assignment on the outskirts of Kochi, Kerala, and she was abducted by a criminal gang in a closed van. Later, Malayalam actor and producer Dileep was named the mastermind of the attack, and the Crime Branch wing of Kerala Police registered a case against him in January 2022.
