  First came TikTok. I started thinking why not do Tiktok. I wanted to be a heroine from a young age. I came forward from Tik Tok. Then Tiktok got banned. Become a Reels Star, Become a Brand Promoter, Become an Influencer on Instagram.I didn’t know anything about Instagram when I started Tik Tok. I have been on Instagram for two years. From there, how much negativity, how much controversy.”

• In 2021, Sonu made her television debut with the Star Suvarna’s Kannada game show Suvarna Superstar.

• In 2022, Sonu made her digital debut with Viacom 18 ‘s reality show Big Boss Kannada OTT. Sonu Srinivas Gowda appeared in the top 5 contestants of the reality show.

• According to Sonu, when she was offered a chance to participate in Big Boss, she initially refused it; however, after discussing the offer with her family, she decided to participate in the reality show. In an interview, Sonu talked about this and said,
  

  I think I got a chance because of my straight talk. When I got the call, I said that I don’t like ‘OTT season’. Like a big heroin I avoided. Then I talked to the family and agreed. I am the second contestant. Very happy. Everything negative has become positive after leaving the ‘Bigg Boss’ house. Proud of that too.”

• In 2022, Sonu made her film debut with the Kannada film Cadburys in which she played a cameo role.

• In an interview, Sonu talked about her debut film Cadburys and said that she had not attended any auditions for her role. She further explained that the producer came across her viral lip-syncing videos on Instagram and offered her a role in the film. Sonu said,
  

  Presently, I am acting in “Cadburys” movie. Dharma Keerthi Raj is the lead actor of this movie. Adwithi Shetty is the lead actress in this movie. I have an important role to play in this project. I cannot reveal about the kind of character I am going to play in this movie right now. My tik tok videos were very famous and had become viral. Based on those performances, they have given me a chance. I have not given any audition. I was selected directly.”

• Sonu has a self-titled YouTube channel where she posts vlogs related to lifestyle, family and career. As of 2023, she has more than 33K subscribers on her YouTube channel.
