• Jennifer’s father was Parsi, and her mother is Christian.

• In 1995, Jennifer earned a 1st Dan-Black Belt in Shito-Ryu karate. She has won 3 shields in karate.

  

• While she was a student at G. S. College Of Commerce & Economics, she actively participated in theatre. She once participated in a play titled Sinhasan Khali Hai during an Inter College Competition and their team won the third prize.

  

• After her marriage, Jennifer lived in Chennai and was unemployed. Her husband was the one who encouraged her to work and urged her to submit her headshots to the Indian publication Great Magazines. She subsequently began to get invitations to appear in TV series, commercials, and short films.

• She contested in Mrs Chennai in 2002.

• In 2004, Jennifer moved to Mumbai from Hyderabad to become an actress. Initially, she joined theatre groups such as Ekjute Theatre Group in Mumbai and Vivechana Theater Group in Jabalpur. She has done theatre under the guidance of Nadira Babbar.

  

• She has done cameo roles in several Hindi TV series including Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii (2000) and Kasautii Zindagi Kay (2001). She played a cameo role of Advocate Vijay Saxena’s wife in the show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (2000).

• In 2006, she appeared in a cameo role of a saleswoman in the crime TV show CID, which aired on Sony Entertainment Television.

• After playing the role of Roshan Daruwala Kaur Sodhi in the Indian sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (2008), she became a household face. In 2013, Jennifer went on maternity leave for which she had to leave the show; however, she came back after her daughter turned 3. 

• She has done several short films including ‘The Johnson Gang Of Mallorca,’ ‘Dark Senses Silence,’ and Paying Guest.

  

• Jennifer appeared in the Hindi show Naagin on Colors TV in 2015. Her journey on the show was short-lived as she had to leave the show midway due to some date issues.

  

• She appeared in the Bollywood films Luck by Chance (2009) and Krazzy 4 (2018). Jennifer played the role of Rita in the Bollywood film Airlift (2016).

• According to Jennifer, she shares a karmic connection with actress Disha Vakani. In an interview, while talking about this, she said,
  

  Her husband and brother’s names are Mayur and my husband’s name is also Mayur. Her brother’s birthday is on August 26th and my daughter’s birthday is also on the same date. Her daughter Stuti and I share the same birthday November 27. I told Disha we have some karmic connection, we shared vanity vans for 5 years.”

• After quitting Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah on 7 March 2023, she revealed in an interview that she had only Rs. 80,000 in her bank account. ^[5]Hindustan Times

• In December 2023, Monaz Mevawala was announced to be playing the role of ‘Roshan Daruwala’ on the show “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.” In an interview, Jennifer congratulated Mevawala and mentioned that her attachment to the show, team, and character died after she left.
