Some Lesser Known Facts About Keerthi Pandian

• Keerthi Pandian is an Indian actress, theatre artist, and professional dancer. She is the daughter of actor and politician Arun Pandian and the cousin sister of Tamil actress Ramya Pandian.

• After completing her formal education, Keerthi Pandian began her career as a ballet and salsa dancer. In 2015, she started acting in theatre. At the same time, she was working as the head of operations at A&P Groups, a film company owned by her father in Chennai.

• Later, Keerthi Pandian founded her own film company in Singapore.

• At the beginning of her career in the film industry, Keerthi Pandian did not get many offers to act in movies. This was because some people discriminated against her because of her skin colour and thin physique. Reportedly, during auditions, she introduced herself using only her first name to avoid any special treatment because of her father, Arun Pandian.

• In 2019, director Harish Ram approached Keerthi Pandian and offered her the main role in the movie “Thumbaa.” She nodded, and this marked her first movie in Tamil cinema as an actress.

  

• During the first COVID-19 lockdown in India in early 2020, Keerthi Pandian became interested in farming and grew crops on her property in Chennai.

  

• In 2021, Keerthi Pandian appeared as Anbirkiniyal Sivam (Anbu) in the Tamil thriller film “Anbirkiniyal,” directed by Gokul. This film was a remake of the Malayalam film “Helen” from 2019, and she played the main character alongside her father. After its release, “Anbirkiniyal” was praised by Telangana Today as one of the best thriller films from South India.

  

• Pandian’s niece, Driya, acted as the younger version of her character in the Tamil film “Anbirkiniyal.”

  

• Apart from being an actress, Keerthi Pandian is a fine ballet dancer. According to her, ballet is her favourite form of dance. Once in a media interview, she expressed her love for dancing. She said,
  

  Dance was my first form of meditation, it still is and it always will be. Ballet, the most favourite form of dance I’ve learnt , and learnt it from the best.”

  

• In 2022, she was featured in the theatre play ‘Break Free.’

  

• Keerthi Pandian is a fitness enthusiast. She goes to the gym regularly. She often shares pictures of her gym and exercise sessions on social media.

  

• Keerthi Pandian likes travelling to distant places in her leisure time. She loves swimming, sky diving, and scuba diving as hobbies.
