- Sonali is a professional Salsa dancer.
- She learned dancing from Bivash Academy of Dance, Kolkata.
- She along with her dance partner Maraju Sumanth participated in the reality show ‘India’s Got Talent’ Season 4 (2012) and were declared as the winner of that season. They won the cash price of Rs 50 lakhs and Maruti Alto 800 car.
- In 2013, she along with Maraju Sumanth took part in the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ Season 6 and ended up as second runner-up.
