Some Lesser Known Facts About Sunny Malton

• Sunny Malton grew up in Malton in Mississauga, Canada.

• After completing his education, he worked at Canadian Tire, a retail company, before starting his music career.

• In 2016, Sunny Malton released a diss track called “Jus Remain Humble Doe” in which he targeted singers Fateh, Jus Reign, Lilly Singh, and Humble the Poet. He included a line in the song for Fateh: “He fake with that beard, Rick Ross.”

  

• In August 2017, Sidhu Moose Wala and Byg Byrd released the song “So High,” which became his most successful track. In this song, Malton was heard singing at the start of the song “Imma Imma Brown Boy,” a tagline that became a hit. He was featured in the entire music video, which was filmed in Toronto.

  

• In 2017, Malton was featured in the music video of the song “Just Listen” by Sidhu Moose Wala. The song reached 12th in the UK Asian Charts.

  

• His other notable collaborations include “Just Listen” (2018), “East Side Flow” (2019), “Sidhu’s Anthem” (2019), “Chosen” (2019), “B-Town” (2019), and “Never Fold” (2022).

• In 2020, Sikander Kahlon criticised Sunny Malton on Twitter after Sidhu Moose Wala unfollowed Malton on Instagram. After that, Sunny responded on Twitter and wrote,
  

  The clowns don’t care about what’s right or wrong, all they’re hoping for is one song with Sidhu.. the shit you dreaming bout, we did in reality.”

• Later, Sunny Malton leaked some private message screenshots on social media, where Kahlon asked for work. This led Kahlon to release an EP titled “Sunny Milton,” filled with diss tracks aimed at Sunny Malton.

• A fight between Sidhu Moose Wala, Sunny Malton, Byg Byrd, and BigBoiDeep started after the album ‘Brown Boys Forever’ was released in August 2019. Byrd and Malton claimed on Instagram that Moose Wala was not paying them and was leaking their songs.

• After that, Moose Wala responded that he had never leaked any of his songs and was willing to take a religious oath.

• In December 2020 and January 2021, Sunny Malton and Byg Byrd had an internet quarrel over the ownership of Brown Boys Records.

• After that, Malton claimed his relationship with Byrd was suffering, and Byrd signed artist Tarna without Malton’s permission under the Brown Boys’ name.
