• Thomas Atkinson was born without a left hand and left leg.

• Since childhood, he was interested in playing sports and played football with his friends.

  

• He was six years old when he first played football with his elder brother.

• At seven, he joined the Carlisle City FC football team. For a few years, he played with the team. He used to play with a prosthetic leg.

  

• When he was around nine years old, he started participating in various football matches.

• He then played for Northbank’s junior football team. Later, the Cumberland Football Association recommended his name to England’s football team. He played in the Under-21 European Championships for England.

  

• He attended various football camps organised by Carlisle United Community Sports Trust. Later, he became a coach at the trust. For a few years, he played football for able-bodied.

  

• In 2012, while he was watching the London Paralympics on TV, he watched the race event of the para sprinter Jonnie Peacock. He got so inspired by him that he decided to play as an amputee football player.

• As a goalkeeper, his team won various football matches for Legia Warszawa and the England Amputee Football Association.

  

• In 2024, he participated in the UK reality TV show ‘Big Brother Series 21.’ The show was aired on ITV2 and hosted by the British TV presenters AJ Odudu and Will Best.

  

• In the introduction video, he shared that he would love to be a housemate with the Internet personality Gemma Rose Owen.

• He also said that if he won the show, he would save the money and later, he would buy a house and car.
