• Under her leadership, Indian hockey team qualified for the Olympics for the first time in 36 years since 1980, won a bronze model in 2013 Asia Cup in Kuala Lumpur and a bronze model in 2014 Asian Games.

• Due to her shear talent, senior’s men’s team drag-flicker V R Raghunath suggested her name by Hockey India for the Arjuna Award.

• She has played more than 250 international hockey matches for India.

• She was dropped from the position of skipper and the 16-member Indian women’s hockey team for the 2016 Rio Olympics.

• She was replaced by Sushila Chanu as the Indian skipper just few weeks before the 2016 Rio Olympics kick-off, because of her poor form and attitude issues.
