• Amish Shah is of Indian origin. His parents immigrated from India in the 1960s while they were pursuing their degrees in engineering.

• Amish’s father is a Jain and mother is a Hindu.

  

• After completing his graduation, Amish joined LEK Consulting, LLC, an international strategy consulting firm in San Francisco Bay Area, as an Associate Consultant. He worked there for around a year.

• From July 2003 to June 2004, Amish worked as a Transitional Year Medical Intern at Sound Shore Hospital in New Rochelle, New York.
• In July 2004, Shah joined Lincoln Medical Center in Bronx, NY, as an Emergency Medicine Resident.

• He did his Master’s in Public Health with a full Merit Scholarship.

• After completing his degree, Shah obtained residency training in Emergency Medicine at New York City’s busiest Level I trauma center.

• Shah has also served as an Airway Management Physician at New York Jets for five years.

• While he was in New York, Shah worked as a team physician for the New York Jets of the National Football League. My parents are of Gujarati origin and Gandhiji’s message had a big impact on me before I first ran for office.”
