• Megan Moroney belongs to a musically inclined family and was introduced to the country music genre and trained in piano from childhood.

• She participated in musical theatre, cheerleading and various talent shows in school.

  

• She had knee surgery after which she was confined to a wheelchair for two months after which she discontinued cheerleading activities.

• At age 16, she learned to play the guitar after a breakup and she used to post cover versions of songs with her father and brother on her social media accounts.

  

• She was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority (a national organization for the benefit of female students) in college. She won the Miss Sorority Row pageant in 2016.

  

• In 2017, while in college she opened at Jon Langston’s concert, part of the Kappa Delta Sorority event conducted for the Prevention of Abuse of Children.

• The popular country singer Chase Rice, who participated in this event, recognised her talent and gave her an opportunity. He demanded that she perform an original song at his concert at the Georgia Theatre in Athens, which was a success.

  

• She wished to discontinue college education which her parents did not support, and eventually changed her major from accounting to music business program.

• She completed her internship with renowned singers Kristian and Brandon Bush of Sugarland.

• After graduation, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue her musical career in 2020.

• In 2022, she released the Extended Play (EP) Pistol Made of Roses (2022).

  

• After the online success of her single Tennessee Orange (2022) produced by Kristian Bush, she was signed by the American record label Arista Nashville.

• The track Tennessee Orange was her first single featured on the Billboard charts including Billboard Hot 100 (number 94), Billboard Hot Country Songs, and Country Airplay. It also received the 3X Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

• In 2023, with the closure of Arista Nashville, she was transferred to the record label Columbia Records, Nashville of Sony Music Entertainment.

• Her debut album Lucky (2023) was ranked in the top 40 of the Billboard 200 published by Billboard magazine. It was also mentioned as the Best Country and American Album of 2023 in the American magazine, Rolling Stone.

• Some of her other songs that received RIAA certification are Platinum for I’m Not Pretty (2023), Gold for No Caller ID (2024) and Indifferent (2024).

• Her other released music albums are Am I Okay? (2024) and Blue Christmas …duh (2024).

  

• She revealed in an interview that though she likes dogs, she is allergic to them.
